Recycled Process of Duplex Paperboard:

Duplex paperboard is made from recycled pulp and at Proton Paper Industry, we use 100% recycled pulp in the manufacturing process of duplex paperboard.

Waste paper collection:  Firstly, for any recycling process, the very first step is to collect waste paper from various locations such as homes, offices, industries, etc. This essential step taken towards the recycling process. After collecting the paper waste, then it’s divided based on their quality or type; so, further process can move easily.

Shorting and Cleaning:  Waste paper is now collected from different sources, and then it’s shorted on the basis of its types and other attributes. After this process is done, the paper is cleaned to remove any contaminant, such as a paperclip, staple, or anything else.

Pulping Process:  After completion of cleaning process, the paper waste has to undergo the pulping process; where water and other chemicals is mixed with this waste. The outcome of this process, convert waste paper into pulp or slurry, and this process is known as a ‘pulping’ process.

De-inking and Fiber Preparation:  On the completion of pulping process, the pulp is then added to the flotation tank where through bubble and air the pulp is further removed remaining contaminant and ink from the pulp. This procedure considered as a de-inking process. After this process, the next thing performed on the pulp is fiber preparation. The recycler will pass this pulp on the roller to release water from the recycled pulp. This process makes the fiber together creating a strong bond that improves the strength of paper sheet.

Drying:  Now clean recycled pulp is ready to move ahead for drying process. After the process of pressing, now the paper sheet passes through the dryer to remove water completely from the sheet to make it dry and useful. Through this process, almost the recycled pulp turned into recycled duplex paperboard. In some case, this recycled duplex paperboard will be coated to provide a more furnished look.
